The BaoFeng UV-82 Series represents a significant leap in affordable ham radio technology. In comparison to its predecessors (UV-5R, GT-3, and the v2+ Series), the UV-82 boasts a considerably louder speaker (1 watt), a robust case with larger buttons, and an entirely new chipset and PCB board that excels in range, accuracy, and output. This isn’t a mere remake; it’s a ground-up redesign. It outperforms the 2nd Gen UV-5R chipset (used in the UV-5Rs, GT-3 BF-F8+, and v2+ series).

A Versatile Radio for Amateur Use

The BaoFeng UV-82 is fully compliant with amateur frequencies, capable of transmitting on Narrowband (12.5kHz) and Wideband (25kHz) frequencies.

Dual Watch Receiver

Equipped with a single built-in receiver, the BaoFeng UV-82 can monitor two channels in semi-duplex mode. This means you can keep an ear on two different frequencies, even if they are on different bands (VHF/UHF), with the radio prioritizing the first station to receive an incoming call.

FM Broadcast Station
